Technically, this is the first book I ever wrote (approximately 75k words). I very briefly sought a publisher for it (or investigated routes of publishing) but decided not to go any further. The reason for this is simple. My views of the canon changed over time and I found myself disagreeing with what I argued! I wrote this book as a side project during my time at Wheaton College, but it was not until I was in seminary that I came to better, clearer and fuller understanding of the canon. In 2016 I did an independent study with Dr. David Chapman (New Testament professor at Covenant Theological Seminary) on the canon. My final project for that study is the framework for a new book on the matter that will eventually see the light of day. For now, though, I need to finish my PhD.

In July of 2018 I signed a book contract with Christian Focus Publications. The subject matter is veteran suicide, grieving, and loss of identity. The purpose of the book is to tell my story and others while translating the message of reconciliation for one of the most un-engaged mission fields of our day - the armed forces.
